Mists of Pandaria Daily Quests and New Factions Reputation Dailies

Mists of Pandaria closed beta has begun and I must say that I am very excited with all the changes that are coming our way. The early start of the closed beta has come as a pleasant surprise to most of us and it also means that the MoP expansion will be coming sooner than we thought. So now is a great time to max out all the old reputations and achievements that you already haven’t done. If you are having trouble finishing them off I suggest you check out Zygor’s Dailies and Achievements Guide and you will have them done way before Mists of Pandaria hits the shelves.

Mists of Pandari Dailies

There seem to be 12 new factions in World of Warcraft’s newest expansion and each of them will have different ways of gaining reputation. Most of them will have daily quests as with all the previous expansions.

There will be between 120 and 150 daily quests at level 90!

There will also be a new way of gaining reputation trough the new Scenarios -  these are instanced easy to do group quests that don’t take long and don’ require the usual tank, healer , dps type of group, but can be done with all dps characters.

The new factions will also have their own new currencies. With the new currencies you will be able to acquire Craftsman tokens to spend on vanity items like fun toys or pets, with Elder tokens you will be able purchase new items, convert them to Valor, or purchase Charms of Good Fortune.

The new known factions so far are:

Forest Hozen -  A spirited, violent, and short-lived race of monkey people.

Glassfin Jinyu – A reserved, methodical race of fish people.

Golden Lotus – This mysterious society of Pandaren intend to solve the Mogu problem once and for all.

Hozu – A noble and spirited tribe of Monkey people.

Lorewalker – earning faction with them will allow you to build your personal historical library.

Pandaren Adventurer’s Guild – Created by Sho Pan, the Pandaren Adventurer’s Guild has grown into an entire country on the back of Shen-zin Su. They sail the world, fighting injustice, tyranny, and lack of good beer wherever they can find it.

Shado-Pan – The shadowy protectors of Pandaria’s temples, the Shado-Pan are wrought with mystery.

The Anglers – The Anglers are a group of Pandaren fisherman that hope to feed their people and grow their knowledge of fishing.

The August Celestials – These men defend the temples of Pandaria from the evils of the Sha.

The Klaxxi – These Mantid Elders are untouched by the corruption and insanity that has overtaken the remainder of the Mantid Swarm. They seek to work with the races of Pandaria to restore their Queen to glory.

The Serpent Riders – Guardians of the East Temple.

The Sha – The evil spirits of the land.

The Tillers – The Tillers are peaceful and productive pandaren, working with the land to feed the massive appetites of their people.

The Tillers have ten hidden factions that you can gain the trust and affection with. These are: Chee Chee, Ella ,Farmer Fund, Fish Felreed, Gina Mudclaw, Haohan Mudclaw, Jogu the Drunk, Old Hillpaw, Sho and Tina Mudclaw.

The Tillers faction is a special one, as gaining reputation with them at level 90, will allow you to have a farm of your own!

Some of these new factions will have cooking, fishing, and archaeology dailies that will make leveling your secondary professions to 600 a lot faster.

So as you can see there will be tons of new things to do so be prepared to spend long hours on this fascinating new content. Darkmoon Faire Patch 4.3 Daily Quests – The only new dailies in Patch 4.3

With the arrival of Patch 4.3 the Darkmoon Faire has been totally revamped. It is now located in an area of its own and you can get to it by teleporting there from Stormwind or Origmar.

There are a lot of new quest available in the new Darkmoon Faire. There are profession quests for each of your professions, main and secondary, and by completing them you gain +5 skill points at the profession you complete the quest for, as well as some tokens and reputation.  These are easy quests mainly gathering ones and most of them you can complete at the fair right away. These profession quests are not dailies and con be completed once every month.

There are also some fun daily quests – mini games that you play. For playin them you will need a Darkmoon Game Token, found in Sack o’ Tokens and Pouch o’ Tokens purchased from Game Vendors at the beginning of the faire Faire.

There are 5 daily quests and each of them rewards you with 5 Darkmoon Prize Ticket  the new Darkmoon currency, and 250 reputation.

It’s Hammer Time you have to whack 30 gnolls that spring out of barrels. Tip: don’t whack the child puppets as they stun you.

The Humanoid Cannonball you get shot out of the cannon and have to land in the circle in the sea. Aou may need a few tries to get it right. Tip: you can get teleported back to the quest giver by talking to the gnome fishing near the circle…it will cost you 30 silver :)

He Shoots, He Scores! you get a gun and have to shoot at the targets with the green arrow, 25 points in 60 seconds.

Target: Turtle the easiest quest…just throw 3 ring on the moving Darkmoon turtle.

Tonk Commander you drive your darkmoon tonk and have to destroy 30 targets. You shoot with 1 and have a speed buff with 2. Tip: when you get targeted a green arrow will be over you and you have to get out of the way or you will be destroyed!

patch 4.3 darkmoon faire

These 5 quest are the only new dailies from patch 4.3 which is a shame…lazy Blizzard!

So why do these dailies?

Well with the new Darkmoon Prize Ticket you can buy for 180 each 2 new mounts( Darkmoon Dancing Bear and Swift Forest Strider), for 90 each 6 new pets as well as heirlooms and tier 0.5 gear for your void storage.

Cataclysm Daily Quests – Tailoring Weekly

This is actually not a daily quest but a weekly must for all tailors.

Why I’m I sharing this information with you? Well right now you can can spend about 2,000g on making all 5 pieces of Dreamcloth for the week and craft an epic ilvl 359 tailoring piece that can sell for 10,000g+. Not bad. I got this information from 20 K Leveling Guide which you can check out for more fold making advice.

Have you heard of  Dreamcloth?  Dreamcloth is the new cataclysm special cloth used for epic tailoring level 359 items. Its BOP so it can’t be sold or bought and you can make it once every 7 days( it has a 6 days and 22 hours cooldown). There are 6 different recipes of Dreamcloth called Dream of Azshara, Dreamm of Deepholm, Dream of Destruction, Dream of Hyjal, Dream of Rangaros and Dream of Skywall. Each is made using 8 bolts of embersilk and 30 volatiles. Different dreams use different volatiles(fire, air, water, life, earth) except Dream of destruction which needs 5 Chaos orbs instead of volatiles.

What can you make with dreamcloth? You can make item level 359 belts and pants and 2 epic spellthreads. The catch is that you have to be level 84 to access to the vendor who is located in Twilight Highlands and do the initial quests as the are phased out. Check out HERE what they offer.

At this time in the expansion people are prepared to spend big money on epics so be sure to take advantage of this. Also before investing too much gold, do check the Auction House for prices as they change from server to server. For more gold tips I recommend you check out this guide.

Cataclysm Daily Quests – Deepholm dailies for Therazane reputation

Doing the Deepholm dailies is very important as they give you Therazane reputation for nice shoulder enchants(at honored and exalted).

In a way they are much like the Sons of Hodir in Wrath of the Liche King as the have a similar progression to unlock all the quests and similar rewards. After unlocking all the quests you will also open a portal that you can use to go to and from Therazane’s Throne so you won’ t need to fly there and you save time.

You can do 7 daily quests each day with 2 quests that are random.

1. Fear of Boring – you have to kill 10 Gyreworms. These can also be outside the cave or hidden in clouds of dust.

2. Motes - gather 10 Painite Mote in the Crumbling Depth. Easy to see no problem at all. When you enter the cave do be careful of the giant worm that goes around in a circle. Wait for him to pass and then head to your second entrance to the right. When you finish questing you can leave the cave by going to your right over the mound of dirt and then to your right. If the worm gets you he will do quiet some damage and then spit you out.

3. Soft Rock – kill 8 Fungal Behemoths in the Crimson Expanse.

4. Fungal Fury - You have to click on the newly sprouted mushrooms in the Crimson Expanse. Different mushrooms have different 2 minute buffs (like  Alice in Wonderland). Some give you a speed buff, some make you tiny, some large. Be careful of the ones in the middle of the Crimson Expanse as the explode and besides damaging you they also hurl you in the air and tend to aggro any mod that is near the exploding mushroom.

5. Through Persistence – Retrieve a Bag of Verlok Miracle-Grow from the Verloks trogs upon the Crimson Expanse. They drop rate is good so you shouldn’t have to kill ore than a few.

These five quests are the same each day and each rewards you with 250 reputation 10g 46s. There are two more quests that you can do each day but they change randomly.

6.a The Restless Brood – You have to defeat the dragon Aeosera. you get a mallet with which you have to strike the Pale Resonating Crystal and then you get tossed on the the rocks tha are in mid air. You then jump from rock to rock until you reach the highest rocks and you can fight Aeosera. If someone is already fighting her wait untill all the rocks fall to the ground and then strike the crystal.

6.b Glop, Son of Glop – First you have to speak to Earthmender Norsala who spawns inside the cave and then with her help you can kill Fungalmancer Glop. There are usually people waiting for her to spawn so its a good idea to do this quest in a group(ask for an invite or invite yourself). There is also a few achievements tied to this quest (Fungalophobia and The Glop Family Line)

These quest reward you with 350 reputation and 17g 20s.

7.a Beneath the Surface – In the Crumbling Depths, you have to recover a Ruby Crystal Cluster. You do this by clicking on it and killing the worm that spawns. They can be found in the dead end small caves.

7.b Lost In The Deeps – Find Pebble within the Crumbling Depths and lead him safely out of the tunnels. He is a small elemental tah you have to escort yout of the tunnels. You can find him by entering the big room taking the first right and the the first left. He is on the edge of the big room and all you have to do is click on him and then take him outside. Be carefull not to loose him!

7.c Underground Economy – This quest is given you by Ricket. You have to gather 3 Deep Alabaster Crystals, 3 Deep Celestite Crystals, 3 Deep Amethyst Crystals, and 3 Deep Garget Crystals. You do this by using Ricket’s Tickers on the different colored slabs of rock. These can be found in four different rooms. You deploy the bomb and step away as it damages you(its a bomb!). then you collect the crystals. these bombs also aggro any npcs that get struck so be carfeull.

All these quests give you 250 reputation and 10g 46s.

Gaining therazane reputation doing these quest regularly will be easy and if you want to get it even faster you should buy the tabarad (at friendly) and do level 85 dungeons with it, but I think you will want to gain reputation in that form with factions that don’t have any dailies.

Happy questing!

Cataclysm Daily Quests – Jewelcrafting Dailies

Jewelcrafting daily quests in Cataclysm are pretty much the same as they were in Wotlk. They are easier as you only have one quest where you need to kill level 80 mobs, while the rest can be done in your faction city. For a more information on profession or or reputation daily guides check out this guide.

Your must have a minimum level of 475 to unlock the jewelcrafting dailies.

You can do one random quest per day and you get an Illustrious Jewelcrafter’s Token for it.

Illustrious Jewelcrafter’s Tokens are used to purchase jewelcrafting recipes which include rare gem cuts, meta gem cuts, bind on equip blue ring/neck items, Chimera’s Eye, and their respective cuts.

The five jewelcrafting daily quests given to are the same for Alliance and Horde;

1. A Present for Lila – You have to cut three Timeless Nightstones

2. Elemental Goo – Collect 10 Elemental Goo from any Cataclysm elementals

3. Nibbler! No! - You have to cut three Solid Zephyrites

4. Ogrezonians in the Mood – You have to cut three Jagged Jaspers

5. The Latest Fashion! – Test Stardust No. 2 on 10 “humanoid subjects” which can be you, any NPC or other players.

Jewelcrafting is still a lucrative profession as there is a steady demand for high level gem cuts so be sure to take advantage of it especially this early in the expansion.  Be smart and do them everyday so that you will have enough tokens to get all the epic recipes.

Cataclysm Daily Quests in Uldum for Ramkahen faction

Like in Wotlk, Cataclysm offers a variety of daily quests that will have you engaged for days, until you get the desired exalted reputation and can access to the epic rewards.

There are only two daily quests in Uldum .

1. Thieving Little Pluckers is the first one that you get at level 83 given by Nomarch Teneth and is one of the fastest and more enjoyable dailies you will find. You are given a Tahret Dynasty Mallet with which you have to smash 30 pygmies which come in stacks of 3. For this quest you get 150 Ramkahen reputation and 6 gold and 50 silver.

2. Fire From the Sky is the second daily quest given by Weathered Nomad and opens up after you leave the Pilgrim’s Precipice during the climax of the Harrison Jones story in Uldum. The quest consists of you using the Confiscated Artillery and killing 100 Schnottz Infantrymen. You get 16g 53s but no reputation.

The only other way you can get the Ramkahen reputation is by doing all the quests in Uldum (which will get you to honored) and doing dungeons with the ramkahen tabard that you can by from the Ramkahen quartermaster Blacksmith Abasi at friendly.

Cataclysm daily cooking quests and daily fishing quests changes

Here is just a quick update on daily cooking quests and daily fising quests. As you can see from the images daily cooking quests will reward you with a skill point and a Stormwind Cooking Award (depending on your faction the name varies…).

Coocking daily quests

Doing daily fishing quests will also reward you with a skill point and a Bag Of Fishing Treasures.

fishing daily quest

This will be welcome change as you will be able to level up your skill just by doing daily fishing quests and daily cooking quest. Secondary professions will be much easier to skill while leveling and making gold. Be sure to get ready for cataclysm by doing all Daily quests quichly and efficently.

Happy questing!

Assault a tower in Alterac Valley

Assault a flag in Arathi Basin

Return a fallen flag in Warsong Gulch

Veteran Nanny

For this achievement, you must obtain all three of the Shattrath City non-combat pets on one character. This achievement is not required for the meta achievement For The Children, thankfully, as it takes three years of Children’s Week questing to complete.
